Hello my name is Elspeth, i am MNCPS Acc.(she/her) verified by Psychology Today. 


I am an experienced trauma counsellor, psychotherapist, and emotional support worker based in Kirklees, West Yorkshire. I am trained as an integrated therapist, and my practice incorporates a compassion-focused therapy approach, aimed at fostering mental and emotional healing.


More importantly I am me, I  am not here to provide you with a wealth of personal development stories filled with tales and anecdotes about happiness. If you like that sort of therapy you might as well  stop reading now. I am here to help you to discover your own practical field guide for your own personal war on the enemies of human happiness. How to hunt down and change those learnt behaviours ,remove them and replace them with strategies for happiness success.

I am passionate about life and learning, and sharing knowledge with other people. I'm also concerned about making the world a better place.

 

Alongside one-to-one counselling, soon I’ll be offering group workshops in NLP, mBraining and walking therapies helping you unlock the wisdom of your head, heart, and gut.


My passion for learning means I take  professional development seriously , regularly completing training in areas such as safeguarding, supporting survivors domestic/sexual violence, understanding dissociative identity disorder, and pre-trial therapy regulations. This commitment ensures I provide informed, up-to-date support tailored to your unique needs.

Together, we’ll work towards your goals, empowering you to live with greater clarity, balance, and self-acceptance.

Whether you need single session therapy, short-term emotional support or more in-depth, ongoing therapy, I offer a flexible approach tailored to your needs.


  • Single therapy session : £45
  • long term session : £35
  • Short term sessions : £40

Block bookings of 5 or more sessions will be discounted by 10%.

Each session lasts 50 minutes.

A typical counselling session lasts 50 minutes. However, session lengths can be adjusted to suit your individual needs and preferences.


A free Initial assement is required before therapy can begin .



During your first session , we will explore your concerns and discuss your goals for therapy. This is a safe and supportive space where you can share openly and begin to understand how we can work together on your journey toward healing and growth.
